I just noticed the web nursery got her weight wrong. Instead of 9 pds 7...she's 7 pounds 9 oz. Pete's on the phone getting it changed. Ugh.She's already down to 6, 15 and a little jaundice but doing great. Here's a picture we took of the i.d. card at the hospital.

Letitia Reece

Her official name is Letitia Reece. She is WONDERFUL....she's just so peaceful and content and barely cries. She's the sweetest thing. I miss Chase terribly and can't wait to get home which will be Saturday.

She's coming...

The doctor is scheduling a C-Section for Dec. 18 @ 2pm. It's a little wierd though how they can "schedule" these things. You just go in and then 15 minutes with the doctor and she's there. We're so excited!!

Only 2 weeks to go...

At my dr.'s visit today, he told me if baby hasn't come by then that he'll want to schedule a c-section by Dec. 19-20... yikes! I'll know better at next week's visit. He's doing this b/c of the c-section I had last time and Chase being a bigger baby 8.1/fetal distress last time. This one is already 7 pounds and I'm not quite at 37 weeks yet.I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time. Only 2 weeks...

Having Contractions!

Now I really got to slow it down.Went on my regular dr's. appt today and those pains I've been feeling were contractions. They said the babies head is low too. Told me to take it light and slow it down. I'm 34 weeks and 2 days. They want the baby to stay in till 37 weeks at least. She said I'm prime for a VBAC too and that was music to my ears. I'm really hoping I can this time.So guys my Christmas present might come early this year...ha-ha. We'll see.

Hiccups Already?

I think the baby had hiccups tonight. I kept feeling steady movement and I could have sworn it felt like she was hiccuping. People around me felt the same thing. I'm only 6 1/2 months but it felt like a real full size baby had just eaten her meal and was hiccupping. The funny thing is I hadn't eaten for hours only drank lots of water prior. It was just an amazing feeling today but she is always really active it seems. I've never felt nor seen this much activity with Chase before. It's so funny!! My belly is always popping out little kicks! I think I've got a little cheerleader inside me...hee-hee.

3 months to go

In about 3 months the baby will be here. It's fall soon and then boom...our Christmas baby will be here. It seems like I just got pregnant! We're going to start painting the nursery and I need to get out all of Chase's stuff from storage to see what I can use for baby #2 (girl). I know I'll have to get a few new things for the baby like girl clothes, a double stroller, a baby carrier (I borrowed mine last time), a breast pump, and I'm sure a few other things but can't think of it right now. Looking forward to the consignment sale coming up. I'm getting nervous and excited!

Mom

Mom is not doing well & hospice will be taking over. I'm scared and really sad. I hope we are making the right decisions for her. I'm just not sure about anything and can't think clearly. I went to sign the papers tonight and at that very moment, I had memories of growing up at my old house with mom....and thinking who knew I would one day be signing her hospice papers. It was just a very surreal moment for me. I still feel like a kid sometimes and would always go to my mom for support. They won't be taking her back to the hospital and will give her drugs for comfort measures only. I tried to give her some soup tonight but she only ate a few bites and she is choking on water. Liquids can go into her lungs and everything has to be thickened before she can consume. They feel she has pneumonia but can't perform xrays because of the hospice. What floored me was to find out that she's lost 68 pds. since October. I knew she lost a lot of weight but didn't know it was that much.

What a weekend

Wrecked van, basement flooded & power outage to sum it all up.The wreck was minor. I was visiting a friend for lunch on St. Charles Rock Road Friday. Went to turn into parking lot while changing my radio station (so Chase and I could jam out) and totally ran into a medium. Tore my bottom grid up front end and little dent in bumper. I spent the afternoon trying to get it repaired. Body shop said it wasn't bad enough to do claim. Just needed wheel alignment and the bottom grid pushed up. Ok, so that was done. Then later that night, we had a power outage and packed everything up to stay in hotel (I must say that part was fun). Last night, while ice turned into rain...our sump pump decided to shut off in basement. Water came in everywhere. All the carpets are pulled up right now and it looks like a war zone.

Chase is getting tubes!

YIKES! I know it's not that big of deal but pretty scary still. He's getting them in both ears and his adnoids (sp?) taken out. Now we just need to see which outpatient place to take him for the procedure.
